ONE HOUR
We're drowning in the sun
Gone forever and a day
Out to sea
And the ocean feels so warm
This eternity is not long
And you'll see
Then the tide it rolled in
And the sky went grey
I kissed you goodbye and
Watched you drift away
Waves crash over yonder
No one understands
You can't put a price on
Life and hope and death
Feel the waves pulling me down
Yellow and green in the distance
In my dreams
It's so cold now that I can sleep
And rest forevermore
With you all
Then the tide it rolled in
And the sky went grey
I kissed you goodbye and
Watched you drift away
Waves crash over yonder
No one understands
You can't put a price on
Life and hope and death

THE CURVATURE OF THE EARTH
Cliffside looking down
Highside I couldn't die
Sunlight is painting you
My heart is in my throat
Air seems so easy to breathe up here
We were swaying in the heavy squall
Ship lights and red nights and slipstreams on weary skies
We watched the rise felt it all
Standing on the edge of greatness and nothingness
Carrying us on through the cold
I could drop today or smile again
This thin bluest line
Curves out of sight
Where the glass is clear
And water's glass
Golden beams of warmth
And worlds apart
We are tired today
But know nothing is wrong
Sunlight is painting you
My heart is in my throat
Air seems so easy to breathe up here
We were swaying in the heavy squall
Ship lights and red nights and slipstreams on weary skies
We watched the rise felt it all
Standing on the edge of greatness and nothingness
Carrying us on through the cold
I could drop today or smile again
This thin bluest line
Curves out of sight
Where the glass is clear
And water's glass
Golden beams of warmth
And worlds apart

Clockwork

CLOCKWORK
You pushed us all away
The sun lives upon the shelf
We missed the signals across the sea
And no one smiled
There is a place for all these all things
Yet not a place for us
One last look at the pictures and say goodbye
Where are we
We all lost that feeling and now are we lost
Day after day it seems we watched the train roll with empty seats
Year after year
Of working for no one with nothing to show
Its waiting
But can you reach islands in selfish tides
Tiny red growing capillaries
Web across stone chiselled eyes
These are the marks of all your years
The sum of all our lives
The door was never opened
The windows were always closed
No one will hear a sound tonight
No one will breathe a sigh
